Can I use Scotchguard on a velvet purse?
My father bought me a new Juicy Couture to keep my results, and instead of getting a scholarship in black, I had a light pink velvet. The seller of the store told me to be very careful, so I do not stain, Scotchguard and said that would help. The only one I could find Scotchguard said it was for automotive interiors. Is it still okay? What if I get on the seam, the leather or by accident?
One of my friends has a Dooney and Bourke purse the pink patent leather and white canvas. The patent leather has begun to peel after it scratched. It had to be careful if she just covered each leather strap with a towel that has worked well for her. I recommend testing it on the bottom of your handbag first.
