No, it is definitely not big enough. In 9th grade, you have a lot of papers and a lot of binders, folders, and notebooks. You might even need to fit a lunch in it. If you want to have my thought, I wouldn't get it, especially because it's so much. Also, I wouldn't spend that much money on something that you might spill food or soda over it. But.... It IS a very nice bag!
