Black tarantula with a deep turquoise stripe across the thorax- what kind of tarantula is that?
He was on the outside wall of my house in SE Arizona. He was large, dark black, like black velvet, and had a dark turquoise horizontal stripe across the back of his thorax. Beautiful. I'd like to know what kind of tarantula he is. By the way, I moved him carefully off the house without harming him.
It might be a Mexican Black Velvet.
