What kind of briefcase / backpack do you use for the middle school?

I just received an Aeropostale bag tote for Christmas before I got that I had been using some different totes and backpacks. I hope my new bag will hold all of my books ... and since I'm already carrying this bag that I should take my purse too much or should I just put my wallet and other things in the bag? what would you do?

I do not see the point of carrying around a purse to school. If you need money, Bring your wallet. Put your phone in your pocket and get a makeup back you can store in your school bag. Totes seem to be fashion, so if you like them, then that's fine. I always carry around heavy books off of my back, so I have more room for other things more important, or keep the books in my locker before until the class I need to. I'm in college, but I'm sure the same goes for the middle school.
