Will seat covers slow the deterioration of leather seats?

My 3 years old car is beginning to have some moderate (final) fold increase of the seated (left side) and very little stretching of the leather bottom of the seat (a 2 dimples, one for each half of the buttocks). The leather is not cracked. This does not bother me, but I do not want cracked seat with foam is visible. I intend to keep the car for 10-12 years older. Solutions? A. leather conditioner? Leathers? B. seat covers? Perhaps skin Sheep? Perhaps a terry cloth (towel like material)? c. both d. above is nothing useful e. nothing on the seat is useful but the shade sun, as sun shield windshield.
