Any common household cleaning or personal care items that I use to clean white leather and suede shoes?

I have already abrasion marks on my new mostly white leather sneakers. I want to keep them bright white. Window cleaner does not work. The tip toe is suede. Is there something that I have around the house, like toothpaste or other things that I can use to keep fit, without going to expensive commercial cleaners?

I use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on my shoes. They work hard and cheap.
