obesity cat?

help! I have an extremely obese cat, named Gigi. She was lost and very thin when I got it. i feed her morning and evening, but it is the size of a small dog! I used it as a weight when I exercise! Help! I do not think she is pregnant because she is like that for about a year now. but I guess I should go get a sample anyway
