Can two DSL modems be set up for two different PCs under one phone line?
I recently bought my brother his first PC and wanted to connect to the Internet. He lives with my sister, who has his own PC DSL service. I want to try to avoid connections wireless since I do not like doing this kind of thing. The modem does not perform any additional ports for connection to the new PC for my brother either. But I have a spare DSL modem, is it possible to connect the DSL line to spare my sister's Phone House and connect the computer to my brother Internet connection as well? Remember, my sister's home DSL modem is already connected to your PC, then I would introduce a second DSL modem in the home, under the same phone line, but in a separate room from my brother. Thank you!
To operate two computers with a DSL line, yoiu have a device to separate the signal. Unfortunately, this device is a router. (The only thing you want to avoid). They are not difficult to install. And he did not need a wireless if you do not mind having to wire a room Tring brother. (You had to run a wire to the DSL modem you have been able to do so) But no, you can not get DSL modems on the same line. They need something to separate the two signals, which is the router. Sorry
