So what if some banks fail. Why should they be bailed out?

If the big banks fail, why should they get rescue? There are credit unions that can be used instead of banks for the same services provided by banks as loans, mortgages, credit cards, checking, savings, CD etc. etc. Credit unions are much smaller than banks and non-profit organization, unlike banks. Because they are not for profit, it is unlikely they will get in the mess that banks do.

That's what I do not understand. In the 80 failed banks in 1000! Each bank will not fail so what's the big damn problem as we have the FDIC would cover almost everyone's money ... except the rich who really over 100k in the bank. I personally think we are so used to walk to everything Hill all the time we did not "nuts" to face a difficult time to time
