Never had an iPod before, i have a question?

So I decided to get the 32GB iPod touch and my stereo has an owner iPod or something like that, they say you can play ur music on the stereo, but my question is that I need something else or just put the ipod there and would it play independently?.

However, there is a chance you will not be able to play your music on this at all. The 2G and 3G models are another 30-pin connector that all other iPod. Thus, if your stereo has been made before the 2nd generation iPod touch was, he probably will not work.
