How do I get the fuzzy fluffy lint off of my shirts?
I tried the lint brush but it doesn't get all the fluff off.
First we need to figure out how the lint got onto your shirt.
If the lint is loose fibers rolling into a tiny ball or pull, primarily on knits, (called pilling) you need a sweater stone. This will catch and clip the pills, and make the fabric appear newer for an extended time. Link below.
If the lint is loose it came off something else. What were the shirts washed with? The color of the lint may give you a clue as to the item that is loosing fibers. Sometimes a new shirt will lose fibers in the wash once or twice. If you wash a towel with anything else there will be lint from the towel. Wash new items, especially dark colors, with similar tones, and separate clothing types in general when washing.
Make sure your dryer lint trap is clean. First off your clothes dry quicker, but secondly a clogged lint filter could be preventing lint from exiting the tumbler. Most importantly, many fabrics take on a static charge in the dryer which makes lint cling to them, so use a anti-static sheet in your dryer. When you got lint you really need the sticky-tape roller. Simply roll the sticky tape over your clothes. Then, peel off the lint covered tape exposing a new, clean tape below, and rewrap the roller in its vinyl cover.
